I really need to post more here. ;_; These days I'm pretty active on Tumblr, but I have to no excuse for being so inactive on DA. I need to start posting and commenting again aahhh
A few days ago I went to see Inside Out with some friends and I thought it was a pretty cute movie. It also had a nice message, that it's okay to be sad and that crying is normal. It had other good messages too. If you enjoy Pixar movies then you'll probably like Inside Out.
That was actually the first Pixar film I've seen in the theaters since Toy Story 3 (for real). To this day, I still haven't seen Brave or Monsters University (but I would like to). I haven't seen Cars 2 but I could pass on that (Cars was okay but we literally watched it like three times in my 4th grade class 8 years ago).
I see I never made a journal about E3, but most of us know how that went. Nintendo could have done better, but I still think people are being a little too hard on them. Yes we all wanted Animal Crossing Wii U (and Metroid fans didn't want that 3DS game) but you guys have to admit that Amiibo Festival looks kind of fun (I think it looks better than Mario Party 10).
There are so many games out/coming out that I want, and that's just another reminder to me of why I need a job (also for college obviously). I've been applying and doing interviews but have had no luck so far. Hopefully I can find something.
For games that are out, Splatoon is one. How can I possibly resisting being both a kid and a squid?
I also still kind of want Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars and Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven despite that they're both harem RPGs. ;_; Do game developers know that they can make RPGs that aren't harems? That or they could give us a reverse-harem one.
For games that aren't out yet...Stella Glow will probably join the two above. It looks fun, but why the harem element????
Then Bravely Second of course. I still need to finish Bravely Default, and I've hit the chapter where the side quests get nasty (ch7). Seriously, I can't beat these random boss groups, but I want to complete the entries in Ringabel's journal.
Then there's Legend of Legacy, whose art style is suspiciously similar to Bravely Default. I've actually heard that Legend of Legacy is ridiculously difficult (that is not an exaggeration) but I'll probably get it anyways.
Next, Yoshi's Woolly World. I like Yoshi games (New Island was weird though...why does the same song play on every level). Those Yarn Yoshi amiibos are so cute too (I want a red/pink one).
Of course, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon is a must. The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games are always great, and this one looks like it will be awesome.
Lastly, there's Yo-Kai Watch, the Pokemon-like game that makes use of Japanese YoKai. I feel like a lot of the references will go over my head (as I have next to no knowledge of YoKai outside of Kappa, Kitsune, and Tanuki {which I know because of Animal Crossing}) but regardless of what I know I think it will be a fun game. I heard that DisneyXD is getting the anime series (they also have been airing Doraemon). I wonder what changes they'll make.
Special mention goes out to The Apprentice Witch and Fluffy Friends, a Japanese game that we'll probably never see get localized, but I can always dream. It looks like a cross between magical girls (cute witches) and Pokemon, two things I like. welp I could buy a Japanese 3DS and buy the game and play it despite not knowing any Japanese.....if I had money
I've rambled enough in this journal. I feel like my next journal will be TV Tropes related..

CharacterHub
CharacterHub is now open to the public so I made an account! https://characterhub.com/profile/SoftenStar I haven't posted much yet, but it has a ton of features and things. Posting all 374 of my finished character bios there will take awhile...but maybe I'll slowly work on that. I think it wouldn't hurt to have a backup to Toyhouse though, so putting in the time and effort to put everything there might be worth it. There's a ton of sections and stuff you can add to your OCs profiles though, and you can create sections for story worlds which is honestly pretty cool. idk what the limit is on things but hopefully they allow accounts to have hundreds of characters...because I have hundreds of characters.
Sheezyart
Finally managed to make a Sheezyart account! :la: Add me here: https://sheezy.art/softenstar I'll still be active here of course. I just like to try out new art sites (though hasn't sheezyart been around awhile now?).
One Day
I want to make a Sheezyart account but it only seems to open up registration to new account when I'm either working or asleep. |D Hopefully I can get one on my day off...on Monday. I wanna try out more random art websites!
Hey Gamers
Anyone wanna add me on Switch? :3 I mostly play single-player RPGs, but I do play Animal Crossing and Pokemon so there's some multiplayer stuff we could do. The 3DS and Wii U servers shut down yesterday and I just realized there's a lot of people I don't have added on the Switch, so I'd like to change that! I was revisiting old 3DS games yesterday and felt rather nostalgic about some stuff (see this journal: I have some fond memories of doing multiplayer stuff on the 3DS, so maybe if there's ever time in our busy adult lives we can play together sometime. also the friend safaris in Pokemon X/Y were cool and now that I've remembered them I'm kinda sad that they weren't brought back. I think mine was poison type?
