Day One

My long first day of college is finally over. Today wasn't so bad, but it was super long. Both classes consisted of the usual explanations about what the class will be like plus they both assigned some first-day homework. I found that I really need a laptop for a few reasons: 1. A lot of stuff in online in general for college, 2. One of my classes so far is very online-based, and 3. I need something to do during my two-hour gap between classes on Monday because I was pretty bored today. Sure, it's only the first day so naturally there wasn't much to do already, but there is a limited number of computers in the library and I don't want to depend on there always being a free one.

Parking today went well. The lot was pretty empty (mainly because I got there super early) so I had no problems finding a spot, but I might have trouble finding one on Thursday since that's my later day.

I didn't seen any kids from my graduating class, but I did see a few kids who were in the grade above me. It's weird not knowing anyone at all. I was kind of lonely during my break and when I was at school before my classes started. I really miss when I would see all my friends in the morning before class.

My classes also seem to involve more activities. For one I have to talk to my teacher once in her office about any topic relating to what we're talking about in class (I apparently only have to do this once) and my science class involves a field trip and other activities. It's going to take some getting used to.

I'm glad my first day is over though. Tomorrow I have shorter breaks between classes (I guess I have 3 classes that day but I thought I only had 2). I can already tell that the homework is going to get overwhelming, so I might be less active than I already was (art-wise anyways, I'll still write journals). I see some of my friends here have birthdays coming up. I might not be able to draw a gift for you guys on the day of your birthday, but I promise I'll draw you something when I have time.
