The 6th through 12th grade band concert is over, and it was awesome. I'm really sad that this was the final time I'll get to play with all the other bands in my school district.
Like I said in the previous journal, the whole thing was Beatles themed. It was actually the 6th grade band teacher's idea. We all made sure to thank her and it was fun seeing all the old teachers and middle schoolers again.
We played Yesterday we turned the lights off and used phone and tablet lights to light up the gym. I think it surprised a lot of people but it was really cool. Then when every band played ob-la-di ob-la-da together, we all messed up and every band was off so we had to stop and start over. It happens, after all it's hard for that many people to play the same song and be together. I stood next to a 6th grader during that, and I have to say 6th graders are a lot smaller than I remember. When I was in elementary school, 6th graders looked like high schoolers to me. Now they look so much younger. Heck, the 9th graders at my school look pretty young too.
Maybe this is what happens when you're a senior. I've heard that seniors can look young once you're out of high school. I wonder if that will be true as well.
I find it really said that only one band concert remains. I'm happy but also sad that high school is almost over. I mean, I've always been lazy but I usually get A's and B's, but I definitely can tell that the other seniors and I are so done with high school. Senioritis is real.
But we will survive and graduate as the class of 2015.
I wish that band was always a thing in my life though. I don't want to play professionally or anything (I'm not that good either since I haven't practiced at home since 8th) but I really do like playing for fun. Plus the people in band are cool, but there's almost no one in my grade in it anymore. Some of the juniors in it also don't know when to stop talking, but otherwise there have always been cool people in band (not that I talk to them since I'm rather quiet).
Shut your mouth, you mediocre clarinet player.

CharacterHub
CharacterHub is now open to the public so I made an account! https://characterhub.com/profile/SoftenStar I haven't posted much yet, but it has a ton of features and things. Posting all 374 of my finished character bios there will take awhile...but maybe I'll slowly work on that. I think it wouldn't hurt to have a backup to Toyhouse though, so putting in the time and effort to put everything there might be worth it. There's a ton of sections and stuff you can add to your OCs profiles though, and you can create sections for story worlds which is honestly pretty cool. idk what the limit is on things but hopefully they allow accounts to have hundreds of characters...because I have hundreds of characters.
Sheezyart
Finally managed to make a Sheezyart account! :la: Add me here: https://sheezy.art/softenstar I'll still be active here of course. I just like to try out new art sites (though hasn't sheezyart been around awhile now?).
One Day
I want to make a Sheezyart account but it only seems to open up registration to new account when I'm either working or asleep. |D Hopefully I can get one on my day off...on Monday. I wanna try out more random art websites!
Hey Gamers
Anyone wanna add me on Switch? :3 I mostly play single-player RPGs, but I do play Animal Crossing and Pokemon so there's some multiplayer stuff we could do. The 3DS and Wii U servers shut down yesterday and I just realized there's a lot of people I don't have added on the Switch, so I'd like to change that! I was revisiting old 3DS games yesterday and felt rather nostalgic about some stuff (see this journal: I have some fond memories of doing multiplayer stuff on the 3DS, so maybe if there's ever time in our busy adult lives we can play together sometime. also the friend safaris in Pokemon X/Y were cool and now that I've remembered them I'm kinda sad that they weren't brought back. I think mine was poison type?
